The Lotte Giants have snapped their recent four-game losing streak.
The Lotte Giants won 7-2 at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on Nov. 18, behind strong hitting from Han Dong-hee and Yoon Dong-hee in the fifth and sixth spots and a strong pitching performance from Charlie Barnes. The win snapped a four-game losing streak that stretched back 14 days. Fourth-place Lotte narrowed its lead over SSG to five games.
Lotte scored in every inning from the first to the sixth, except for the top of the fourth.
Starting pitcher Barnes pitched his best game of the season with seven shutout innings. It was Barnes’ first no-hitter of the season since May 10 against the Doosan Bears (six and two-thirds innings). Barnes lowered her ERA from 4.42 to 3.95.
At the plate, Han Dong-hee went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, while Yoon Dong-hee went 3-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. Veterans Jeon Jun-woo and Ahn Chi-hong also had multi-hit games (two or more hits in a game).
LOTTE manager Larry Sutton said, “Barnes was outstanding, recording a quality start plus (seven innings or more and three earned runs or less). We got some good at-bats in the first inning and were able to control the game.”먹튀검증
Lotte finished the week with two wins and four losses. “We had two good games in the three-game weekend series with SSG,” Sutton said, “and although we didn’t finish well yesterday (giving up seven runs in the eighth inning), we got the win today. We have an off day tomorrow so we’ll reset and take the good momentum into next week.”
