Jun-seok Shim pitched a four-inning, eight-strikeout, no-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles’ Rookie Team at the Pirates City Complex in Bradenton, Florida, on Nov. 11. The game was a 9-4 victory for the Pittsburgh Rookie team.
After retiring all three batters in the first inning, Shim cruised through the second and third innings with two strikeouts each. In the fourth inning, he retired Leonardo Arias on a swinging strikeout with one out. He was replaced by Roelmi Garcia in the top of the fifth inning with a 1-0 lead.
