The Atlanta Braves are on a roll in Major League Baseball. They swept the second-place Tampa Bay Rays to reach 60 wins.
Atlanta hosted Tampa Bay at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, on the 9th.
Atlanta won 6-1 behind a 6 1/3 inning, 11-strikeout performance from starter Spencer Strider and Sean Murphy’s 17th home run of the season.
With the win, Atlanta improved to 60-28 for a .682 winning percentage. The gap to second-place Tampa Bay is now five games. The team is an impressive 9-1 in its last 10 games.
Atlanta won the first game of a three-game series against Tampa Bay on the 8th of this month. That’s why the gap has widened so dramatically.바카라
The main reason for this is the bats. With a team OPS of 0.833, they lead the entire major leagues. They have a whopping 168 home runs, 19 more than the second-place team.
What’s even more impressive is that they’re doing it without a one-two punch. Max Freed and Kyle Wright went down early in the season and haven’t returned.
So if Fried returns this month and Wright in August, as scheduled, Atlanta will be even stronger.
Atlanta now hosts Tampa Bay on the 10th for the third game of a three-game series and the final game of the first half. Bryce Elder will get the start.
