Legendary women’s mixed martial arts fighter Ham Seo-hee is determined to win the top spot in Asia’s largest martial arts organization, ‘ONE Championship’.
On March 25th, on ONE Fight Night 8, Ham Seo-hee will compete against Itsuki Hirata (Japan), the winner of season 3 of the reality program ‘Fight Proxy War’, in a women’s atomweight match.
‘ONE Fight Night 8’ will be held at Singapore Indoor Stadium, which can accommodate 12,000 spectators.
The two players were scheduled to face off at ‘One Championship 163’ last November, but the match with Ham Seo-hee was canceled when Hirata failed to pass the weigh-in. 스포츠토토
Ham Seo-hee said, “She wants a showcase. She wants to show that she is the strongest among those who are aiming for the One Championship Atom class throne.”
The One Championship Atomweight Champion has been Korean fighter Angela Lee (USA/Canada) since May 2016. She continues to hold her top spot with successful 5 defenses of the title. Ham Seo-hee is a world class ranked No. 1 in the world by the third quarter of 2021. She also won two consecutive victories over Dennis Samboanga (Philippines), who is ranked third in the official rankings, in the One Championship as well.
Ham Seo-hee, who conquered the Japanese stage by reaching the top of DEEP Jewels in 2013-2014 and Raijin in 2019, is a legend that must be included in at least 30 when discussing the history of women’s mixed martial arts.
“I’m only looking at the next world title,” said Ham Seo-hee, second in the official One Championship rankings, assuring her victory against Hirata. One Championship side “
