Korean-born Levsnyder extends 1+1 deal with Boston

South Korean Rob Refsnyder (32, Kim Jung-tae) has signed a one-year contract extension with Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox.

“The Red Sox have signed Lefty to a contract worth $1.8 million in 2024 with a $2.5 million club option for 2025,” MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, announced on Thursday (April 4).

Left fielder was on Tommy Edmon’s (St. Louis) 50-man interest list for the 2023 WBC Korea Baseball Team. While Edman made the team, Lefsnyder didn’t get to wear the Taekwondo flag.

Signed by Boston for $1.2 million this year, Lefsner put up impressive numbers in 33 games, including a .370 batting average with a .408 on-base percentage and a .981 OPS.

As a right-handed hitter who primarily faces left-handed pitching, Lefsner posted a .362 batting average, .468 slugging percentage, and .980 OPS against lefties.먹튀검증
