Kim Gun-woo “I know my role”

Sophomore Kim Gun-woo led Yonsei to victory.

Yonsei University defeated Chosun University 86-58 in the 2023 KUSF University Basketball League on Monday at Yonsei University Gymnasium.

The win extended Yonsei’s winning streak to three games. Sophomore big man Kim Gun-woo recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, effectively filling the void left by Kim Bo-bae.

“It was our last home game, and I think the fans came out and supported us, which led to a good result,” Kim said after the win.

Kim got a lot of playing time in the big men’s lineup in place of the injured Kim Bo-bae, and he impressed.

“I tried to fulfill my role while thinking about the team rather than myself,” Kim said. I tried to do what I needed to do on and off the court. There are a lot of injuries in the big men’s lineup right now, so I went in and paid attention to the big things like rebounding and defense,” Kim reflected on the game.

Yonsei, which is in second place in the college league, will participate in the MBC Varsity in July and then play in the college league playoffs.

“As a senior, I want to take responsibility and lead the team on and off the court. I know what my role is when I step on the court. I will try to fulfill it,” he said.토토사이트

Kim also had a spectacular slam dunk in the second quarter.

“It was a situation where I was going through a screen. I knew I had to set the screen correctly, so I set the screen well, and I was able to dunk when I got the chance,” he explained.

Day One’s Lee Jung-hyun also made an appearance at the Yonsei Gymnasium. The coffee tea sent by his fans was also a hot topic.

Kim Gun-woo said, “It was great to have Jung-hyun’s brother support me in the off-season. He told me to play as I usually do,” Kim said.
