Daegu FC’s Hwang Jae-won named, Ko Jae-hyun dropped… AG soccer team

Daegu FC defender Hwang Jae-won has been named to the final squad for the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games in September, while highly-anticipated second-choice attacker Ko Jae-hyun was not included in the final roster.

Among the 22 players named to the final roster of the men’s football team for the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games, announced at the Football Hall on Thursday afternoon, is Hwang Jae-won, who has been a mainstay on the flanks for Daegu as a defender.

Since joining Daegu in 2022 at the age of 19 and making his professional debut in the opening match, Hwang has made 56 professional appearances, scoring two goals and providing eight assists, and is one of the league’s most promising young players, winning the Young Player of the Month award twice, in 2022 and this May.바카라

He was first called up to the U-23 national team in September last year, and has been a consistent choice of coach Hwang Sun-hong ever since, raising expectations for the Taeguk mark.

“I didn’t think it would be easy to get selected, but I’m really happy and honored to be on the final roster,” said Hwang Jae-won, who will wear the Taeguk mark. I will do my best to come back with a sense of responsibility and mission as I am representing Korea, and I am very grateful to the Daegu fans for always supporting me. I will come back in good shape as I represent Daegu FC,” he said.
