Coach Lee Seung-yeop, who cares for Yang Eui-ji, “recharges more than real battles”, “The opening match is more important”

“I want to see you soon too”.

Doosan Bears coach Lee Seung-yeop showed caution in using Yang Eui-ji (35), the main catcher, in practice. He was determined to give the team as much time to recharge as possible and to put it into practice as late as possible.

Yang Eui-ji played an active part as the main catcher in the WBC tournament, hitting two home runs, but the result was a defeat in the first round. After his return, he joined the first team, but has not played as a catcher yet. It was because of the director’s policy not to overdo it.  먹튀검증

Starting pitcher Kwak Bin, who also participated in the WBC, is scheduled to pitch against Daejeon Hanwha on the 21st. Pilseungman Jeong Cheol-won will begin operation on the 20th. However, Yang Eui-ji’s catcher plan has not yet been decided.

Prior to the exhibition game against the KIA Tigers on the 19th, coach Lee revealed the reason for his prudence. He was concerned that after participating in the national team, he would have accumulated considerable fatigue due to training, moving, and competitions.

Coach Lee said, “I went to the national team in good condition at camp, but it was not a comfortable schedule.

Yang Eui-ji returned to Korea from the Sydney camp in Australia and moved to the Arizona national team camp. After training, he returned to Korea and traveled a lot from Tokyo to Tokyo via Osaka. In the first round, he put a lot of energy into playing as the starting catcher. He thought that the commander’s eyes needed time to recharge.

Coach Lee said, “I also want to see (running) quickly. I want to match my breathing. I will give you more rest than that. The important thing is the opening game. I talked with him accordingly. I think it will be okay not to go to many games. I will be confident,” he said.

Regarding the fact that there was little time to match with Doosan pitchers, “I have already been together for two weeks at camp. There is no problem with pitchers’ balls. I have enough know-how to do that,” he said, showing strong faith.

Yang Eui-ji came out as a pinch hitter in the 7th inning with 2nd out, 1st and 2nd base, but he hit a floating ball to center fielder. He missed the batted ball, but was caught by Kim Ho-ryeong’s ho-bi. /sunny@osen.co.kr
