Eden Hazard, 32, wants to stay in Madrid after being released by Real Madrid. He has an offer from the United States, but if he accepts it, he’ll have to change his residence. In this situation, he is considering the option of ‘retirement’.
“Edouard Azar is considering retirement,” the British newspaper The Sun reported on Aug. 8.
Azar joined Chelsea in the English Premier League from LOSC Lille in 2012 and spearheaded the Blues’ attack with the league’s best crack until 2019.
During his time at Chelsea, Azar was known as the ‘King of the Premier League’ and the ‘Conqueror’. He was an ‘all-round’ striker, capable of scoring and creating chances with his delicate ball control, blistering speed, powerful shot, and incisive passing. He was rarely sidelined by injury, making a whopping 352 appearances in his seven seasons at Chelsea.
In those 352 games, he scored 110 goals and provided 92 assists, winning two Premier League titles (2014-2015, 2016-2017), one FA Cup (2017-2018), and two UEFA Europa League titles (2012-2013, 2018-2019).
However, Azpilicueta struggled after his move to Real Madrid.
Since leaving Chelsea in 2019 for a whopping €160 million, Azpilicueta has appeared in just 76 official matches (3,736 minutes) in four seasons. He has just 19 offensive points (7 goals, 12 assists). This is a result of his failure to control his weight and frequent injuries.
On April 4, Azar and Real Madrid terminated his contract by mutual consent. However, Azar wants to stay in Madrid. He is considering retirement to fulfill this plan.먹튀검증
“He has settled well in the city of Madrid and now speaks Spanish fluently,” said The Sun. As a result, he doesn’t want to leave Madrid. He will stay in Madrid with his family.”
“US Major League Soccer (MLS) team Vancouver Whitecaps offered him a contract, but it doesn’t fit with his plans to stay in the Spanish capital, so he is considering retirement,” the publication explained.
